Meet Patrick Eid

I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally be able to provide this service to you.

As a Queer person from a CALD background who grew up in a conservative
religious community, I understand what it is like to develop and live with poor mental health as a result of systemic concerns.

Throughout my personal and professional life, I’ve always found it difficult to find a service that caters to the mental health of people that live in complex systems (e.g.,accounting for racial injustice, systemic oppression, and the patriarchy… to name a few).

I have only found services that have limited understanding of Queer, CALD, and other contextual concerns, and tend to focus on diagnosis and symptom management.

Thus, with a combination of lived-experience, academic learning, and professional
experience, I believe my service will bridge the gap for people, like myself, who have
not felt heard or understood when engaging with a mental health professional.
Although my service is open to anyone who has ever felt let down or unheard in the
mental health system, my specialisation is in youth/young adult, Queer and CALD
mental health.

I am here to help you on your journey of healing.
